Description

A new method of position sensitive detection by multichannel plate (MCP) devices was found and demonstrated by detection of UV radiation of a pulsed laser. The experimental setup for investigating of characteristics of the MCP-vidicon assembly is created and described. The methodics for preparation of the MCP and the vidicon are developed. The coordinate information is directly obtained from the MCP used as a memory matrix. For data acquisition and display a TV channel was used as follows: an electrooptical system of a vidicon, a TV camera and a videomonitor
