Description
An ion mass-energy analyzer with a magnetic field in a gap of circular poles and with an electrostatic deflection system placed in the magnetic gap is developed for view measurements. The analyzer allows to obtain an energy spectrum of chosen ions of one type per one pulse of microsecond duration. The dynamic energy range of the device is 75; the maximum product of the ion energy and its mass number makes up 3.0 MeV. Mass and energy resolution of the analyzer constitutes ∼10%; time resolution makes up ∼10-7 s. The analyzer is compact and is located in vacuum
