New United States policies regarding international nuclear cooperation
Description
This paper discusses the United States policy on international nuclear power development in the light of the priorities established by President Reagan in the guidelines for his Administration's nuclear co-operation policy. The aim is to establish a framework allowing for co-operation in peaceful nuclear development while remaining committed to the objective of preventing the further spread of nuclear weapons, in particular by supporting the Non-Proliferation Treaty, the IAEA Safeguards System and the Tlatelolco Treaty (NEA)

La presente communication expose la politique des Etats-Unis en matiere de cooperation internationale dans le domaine nucleaire, a la lumiere des priorites etablies par le President Reagan dans ses lignes directrices en matiere de cooperation nucleaire. Le but recherche est l'etablissement d'un cadre permettant une cooperation dans le domaine du developpement pacifique de l'energie nucleaire tout en conservant comme objectif la prevention de la proliferation des armes nucleaires, notamment dans le cadre du Traite sur la non-proliferation nucleaire, du Systeme de garanties de l'AIEA et du Traite de TlatelolcoFiles
