Estimated global monthly radiation per day by two meteorological approaches in Algeria

Description
We present a method to estimate the monthly average of the daily global radiation received at ground level under clear and average sky conditions, which helps validate meteorological models cited in the literature. These models use relations to transform the measured insolation data into the flux of global solar radiation. This suits the nature of the Algerian measurement network, characterized by a lack of radiometric stations, but which provide sunshine duration data. Our study deals with two models: Angstrom's model and Coppolino's model. The results we obtained show that the latter model is useful to predict the monthly mean of the daily global solar radiation with good reliability. (author)
