Dynamic buckling - calculation of soft missile impact

Description
The numerical results of calculations using a two dimensional lumped mass model (NMASS) and two dimensional axisymmetric finite difference model HEMP/KWU capable of resembling the local buckling behaviour, are presented. The results - deformed length after impact, load-time-history and time history of the buckling - are presented and compared with experimental values. (Author)

Apresentam-se os resultados numericos de calculos usando-se um modelo de massa bidimensional (NMASS) e um modelo de diferenca finita bidimensional axissimetrico (HEMP/KWU) capaz de assemelhar-se ao comportamento da deformacao ('buckling') local. Apresentam-se e comparam-se os resultados - comprimento de deformacao apos impacto, historico-carga-tempo e historico do tempo de deformacao-com valores experimentais. (E.G.)Additional details
