Description

In the frame of safety evaluation of nuclear facilities in case of accident, noticeably the pressurized water reactor (PWR), one objective is to be able to get predictive tools to estimate the potential outside releases of radio-contaminants and also, be able to assess the means of mitigation. For this, we need to have a good understanding of physico-chemical behavior of some elements which lead to high radiological consequences. A dual approach, experimental and modeling, is needed to reach such understanding. (authors)
