This paper discusses selected applications of the Midland Probabilistic Risk Assessment (MPRA) to design improvement evaluations which arose during the conduct of this study. The impact of these design improvements on system reliability and risk is discussed. Plans for use of the MPRA in a continuing risk management program are also presented
