Production of anisotropic composite materials based on metal-transition metal carbide systems
Description
The possibility of producing regular structures of Mo-Mo2C, Zr-ZrC, Mo-HfC, Mo-TiC and Mo-ZrC quasi-binary eutectic systems has been researched, taking account of the crystallization velocity of 1.10-2-5 mm/s and the temperature gradient at the crystallization front, amounting to 100 deg/cm. A regular structure has been produced in the Mo-Mo2C system at the crystallization velocity of less than 1.10-1 mm/s and in the Mo-TiC alloy at 1.10-2 mm/s. No directing effect has been produced in other systems
