Scattering theory in a system with confinement
Description
This paper investigates the quantum-mechanical problem of the scattering of two particles when there is coupling to a channel for which confinement is postulated. In many respects, scattering in such a system resembles a nuclear reaction with formation of a compound nucleus. This paper obtains the S matrix corresponding to scattering by N levels in a channel with confinement. The influence of the channel with confinement on the resonances and Coulomb levels in the scattering channel is considered
