Clinical application of single photon emission CT
Description
Clinical experience of tomoscanner II manufactured by J and P Co. in England at Municipal Tsuruga Hospital and clinical application of single photon emission CT (ECT) reported in many literatures were considered. Examination targets were the brain, lung, myocardium, blood pool, liver, and kidney. To spread ECT into wide use, camera type or high speed multi-tomographic apparatus with ring type detector and labelled compounds such as sup(99m)Tc, 201Tl, and 111In must be developed. (Tsunoda, M.)
