Description

Neutron diffraction studies both at room temperature and low temperatures have been carried out to study the effect of Ti substitution on the magnetic order in Zn0.3Mg0.7+xFe2-2xTixO4 ferrite with x = 0.4. Cation distribution and other structural parameters determined from the refinement of room temperature data have been used in the course of magnetic refinement of low temperature pattern. The results indicate that the system exhibits ferrimagnetic order at low temperatures but with collinear arrangement of spins on B site and non-collinear ordering of moments on A site. (author)
