Eldorado wet way process

Creators

  • 1. Eldorado Nuclear Ltd., Port Hope, Ontario (Canada)

Description

The Eldorado Nuclear Wet Way process produces a high quality uranium tetrafluoride via an aqueous route, whereas all other converters use a pryometallurgical route (dry process). The primary advantages of the wet process over the dry process are reduced consumption of hydrofluoric acid, reduced effluent treatment costs as well as reduced labour requirements for equivalent throughput
