Description
Experiments were carried out to determine the surface and interior contaminations in layers of fresh pig skin that had been soiled with 35S, 125Sb, 147Pm, 204Tl, and 210Po solutions of various acidities for various periods of soiling time. It was proved that Tl+ is cationic, S(SO42-) is anionic and Sb3+, Pm3+, Po4+ are radiocolloidal in their mode and character of skin contaminability. The last three showed distinctive skin contaminations in the acidity regions for radiocolloidal formation. It was found that interior contamination is almost negligible, regardless of contaminant species, acidity, or soiling time. (author)
