Multiwire dielectric detector for measurement of charged particle coordinates
Description
Position sensitive multiwire dielectric detector (MDD), designed for detection of charged particle coordinates, is described. The operation of the electronic recording equipment unit, the main elements of which are bipolar source of high-voltage pulse supply, three-sectional amplifier and short pulses shaper, is considered in detail. Signals recording from MDD wires is conducted by the method of delayed coincidences. The results of MDD test at 132Xe ion beam with 150 MeV energy and α-particles with 5,5 MeV energy are presented. It is established, that MDD with 10 anode wires allows to obtain coordinate peaks with 0.3 ns width
