Determination of metallic impurities in uranium compounds of nuclear purity by atomic absorption spectrophotometry with electrothermal atomization
Description
Atomic absorption spectrometry, with electrothermal atomization, has been used for the determination of Al, Cd, Cr, Fe, Mn and Ni in uranium oxide standards. The analysis were performed without sample dissolution and without uranium chemical separation. This technique is adequate for the qualification of uranium of nuclear purity according to the standard specifications. (Author)

A espectrofotometria de absorcao atomica com atomizacao eletrotermica foi usada para a determinacao de Al, Cd, Cr, Fe, Mn e Ni em padroes de oxido de uranio. As analises foram feitas sem dissolucao e sem separacao quimica previa do uranio. Para os elementos mencionados, a tecnica atende perfeitamente as especificacoes nucleares para qualificacao do uranio nuclearmente puro. (Autor)Additional details
