Properties and analytical application of the complexing sorbent POLYORGS 24

Description
A complexing fibrous sorbent on a copolymer of cellulose and polyacrylonitrile with hydrazide groups, POLYORGS 24, was found to be selective for a group of heavy metals (Cd among them) in the presence of salts of alkali and alkaline-earth metals. Conditions for preconcentrating metals from natural water for their subsequent atomic-absorption and atomic-emission determination were chosen. The procedure developed was applied to the analysis of sea water. 7 refs.; 1 fig.; 1 tab
