Description

The development of 'living PSA' applications on corporate or local level, needs a periodic updating of the PSA databases. The matter of this paper is to present a bayesian estimation method and the associated tool, developed by EDF, NPPs Operation Division and Research and Development Division, to estimate component failure rates in order to: at corporate level, update the existing generic EDF database; at plant level, provide a plant specific data base. This paper gives some examples
