The role of charge-transfer complex in radiolysis of compatible mixtures of polyvinylmethyl ester and aromatic vinyl monomers

Description
It was found with ESR, optical absorption and liminescence methods that substantial negative deviation from additivity of radiochemical yield of paramagnetic centers is observed at low-temperature radiolysis of single-phase mixtures of PS (or polyvinyltoluene) and polyvinylmethyl ester due to electron capture by intercomponent electron-transfer complex. In phase-separated mixtures of the same components the effect is not observed
