Nucleation and crystal growth of boron nitride sphalerite modification

Description

Thermodynamical Gibbs potential is calculated for the region of catalytic BNsph synthesis. Work of critical nucleation is determined as well as the surface energy of the boron nitride - melt interface, critical size of the nucleus and activation energy of BNsph formation. A decrease of the surface energy under the catalyst effect mainly accounts for changes in the activation energy
