Complex optimization of fast reactors arrangement

Description

The work discusses techniques and simulation models and generalizes the practice of complex optimization of fast reactors (FR). The questions considered include the problems of fuel composition selection, optimal composition and dimensions of zones; various engineering solutions increasing safety of loading cartograms and fuel reload regimes optimization; comparison of reactor parameters with different kinds of fuel and coolant. Possibilities and specifications of the SAPFER, HEX-OPT, QUASI-HEX, HEX-T-OPT programme complex, aimed at automatic search for FR optimal characteristics and ways of its further improvement connected with a more severe choice of FR safety characteristics are discussed
