Doubled ELV type accelerators

An arrangement scheme of doubled type electrostatic accelerator for the mean capacity of 50 kW is described. The variant suggested differs from the traditional accelerator variant by the fact that two high-voltage columns work in parallel for the accelerator tube. Construction of the ELV-3 accelerator, manufactured and tested in doubled variant, is considered. It is emphasized that construction peculiarities of doubled type accelerator permit to considerably increase their capacity
