Determination of iron content in the nitrogen tetroxide coolant

Description

When utilizing dissociating nitrogen tetroxide as a coolant and working fluid of NPP, it is necessary to work out the methods of control of the coolant quality characteristic. The important characteristic of the coolant quality on impurities is the content of corrosion products in it and iron in particular, as the basic macrocomponent of structural materials. For determination of iron content in the nitrogen tetroxide-based coolant, sulphosalicylic method in ammoniacal variant is proposed. A reflected the experimental working outs of the o-phenanthroline method and the method with sulphosalicylic acid. The method of the sample preparation of the N2O4-based coolant for the subsequent calorimetric analysis is cited
