Isotopic investigations of charge movement in a shaft furnace for copper matte manufacture

A survey of technical publications concerning methods of investigations on material movements in a shaft furnace is presented. The principles are discussed of the pelengation method serving for the determination of co-ordinates of the moving particles of material marked by radioactive isotopes. Results of measurements carried out on a semicommercial and an industrial scale are given. (author)
