APS-index for the fermion-vortex system

Description
APS-index for the fermion-vortex system in the Abelian Higgs model is calculated in a bounded domain of a disk with radius R. It is shown that the APS-index depends strongly on the behavior of the background fields and becomes integer when boundary effects are taken into account. (author)
