Improvements relating to data acquisition in tomography

An improved data acquisition system for tomography is presented. The system can be used for X and γ radiation. It consists of a scanner and electronic circuits for data acquisition. The scanner uses a collimated radiation source system and a collimated detector system which can rotate around the body to be examined; the absorption is thus measured along different paths resulting from lateral and orbital movements of the scanning system. The electronic circuit is designed to maximalize the spatial resolution of the resulting image with a given scanning spatial resolution which will allow for a faster procedure.
