Activity report of Radiation Science Center in fiscal 2000

This report describes research activities of the Radiation Science Center in the fiscal year of 2000. The Radiation Science Center is concerned with the management of radiation and chemical safety in High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK). In this center, R and D work in this field is carried out in addition to the routine works. In the first part of this report, the activities of research and development are presented in English and the studies related to the routine work are written in Japanese in the second part. In the third part, the research activities including awards, name of outside committee we are engaged in, workshops and symposia, publications, and funds we got were described. The research activity of the Radiation Science Center covers various fields and also the fields of staff members are widely distributed in nuclear chemistry, health physics, chemistry, and accelerator shielding. The present status of each area in 2000 was described. (M.N.)
