Description
The results of photometric and polarimetric observations of the Kuwano's peculiar object (binary system with a red giant star) from August 1979 to December 1980 are presented. During 1979, the brightness of the object was about 9sup(m) without noticeable variations. At the beginning of 1980 its brightness started to fade rapidly, came down to the minimum around JD 2444500 and then went up again. At the phase of rapid decrease of brightness, color indices (B-V) and (U-B) increased appreciably and the radiation of the object appeared to be intrinsically polarized up to 1%. At the brightness minimum the (B-V) index a little decreased at the same time the infrared radiation has been about twice lower compared with the period of maximum brightness in April 1979
