Description
In a recent photoemission study on the quasi-one-dimensional Peierls system (TaSe4)2I Terrasi et al. [Phys. Rev. B 52, 5592 (1995)] report that two (rather than one) anticyclic dispersing conduction bands exist in this material, each of them observable for a different light polarization relative to the direction of the conducting axis and each displaying a periodicity consistent with the charge-density wave vector. Our own angle-resolved photoemission data do not confirm these observations. copyright 1997 The American Physical Society
