Description

Great attention is paid to selection of materials for collimators and their structures. The analytical evaluations of the maximum possible intercepting intensity are given and the numerical calculation results are presented. The process of the beam losses localization is of impulse character and the limit for the material pulsed heating is noticeably lower than the stationary one, therefore the collimator instantaneous heating is also studied. The estimates of the collimator dimensions which are optimal in the context of absorption of the most part of the localized energy, are also presented. The effect of the beam dimensions on the absorber heating, depending on the point beam energy release distributions, is studied

Abstract (Russian)

В работе уделяется большое внимание выбору материала коллиматоров и их конструкций. Даются аналитические оценки максимально возможной перехватывающей интенсивности и приводятся результаты численного расчета. Поскольку процесс локализации потерь пучка носит импульсный характер, а допуск на импульсный разогрев материала значительно ниже стационарного, то исследуется и мгновенный разогрев коллиматора. Приводятся также оценки габаритов коллиматоров, оптимальные в аспекте поглощения наибольшей части локализуемой энергии. Исследуется влияние размеров пучка на разогрев поглотителя в зависимости от распределений энерговыделения точечного пучка
