Description

Eleven nuclear power stations, totalling 9624 MWe, account for some 36% of the electricity generated in South Korea. A further seven units under construction and ten planned should increase nuclear's share to 46% in 2010. Having become almost self-sufficient through technology transfer, Korean companies are now beginning to be active as exporters of nuclear plant and services. (UK)
