Alternation of generations on the Ekofisk Field: Ten offshore platforms are to be removed

Description
The article relates to the abandonment of oil and natural gas fields on the Norwegian Ekofisk field. The most decided challenge on the continental shelf in the next years is the removal of the first generation of installations which includes ten offshore platforms. The second generation of fixed installations including the first generation of installations mentioned will include a number of 29 fixed installations. More than 100 wells are to be plugged on the Ekofisk field in the years to come. 1 fig
