Loop calculations for the Green-Schwarz superstring
Description
Several path integrals are calculated for the heterotic string with the Green-Schwarz covariant action. It is shown that if supersymmetry is unbroken, the cosmological constant vanishes to all orders, and one- and two-particle S-matrix elements for massless particles receive no loop corrections. In addition, the one-loop calculation at finite temperature gives the correct lowest-order free energy. (orig.)
