Effect of shell thickness on propagation of surface hybrid modes in metallic cylindrical nanoshells

Description

The propagation of surface hybrid modes on a nano shell has been investigated theoretically. The effect of increasing the thickness of the metal shell on plasmon dispersion is shown. A simple form of plasmon dispersion has been obtained for m = 0. By increasing shell thickness the coupling between the inner and outer surface becomes weak, and in this case modes at smaller q tend to the surface plasmon frequency for a flat surface. (paper)
