Description

The paper deals with the investigation into the impact of synchrotron radiation fluctuations on the longitudinal motion of a single electron in VEPP-3 storage ring. The circuit for measuring time delay between the moment of electron flight into the ondulator and the first reference pulse which arrived after the recording of photons emitted by electron in the ondulator is described. The analysis of the obtained experimental data shows that the electron motion in the storage ring is of stochastic nature and is close to Brownian motion. 3 refs., 5 figs
