This special issue is the result of a workshop about eddy covariance (EC) flux measurements of CH4 and N2O held at the Hyytiaalaa Forestry Field station in Finland in April 2008 in relation to NitroEurope IP and ICOS (Integrated Carbon Observation System) ESFRI preparatory phase project.
