Sensitivity analysis of pile spectra unfolding in water
Description
Neutron spectra of the water-cooled water-moderated reactor IR-50 in the range from 10-6 up to 18 MeV have been unfolded using the computer codes SAND II, WINDOWS, and PM. The unfolded spectra are studied as a function of choice of the initial approximation, number of iterations, and errors in the measured reaction rates. The results obtained can be employed for planning measurements of reaction rates and unfolding neutron spectra on conditions analogous to those considered in the present work. (author)
