Description
Angular distributions of heavy ions leading to low-lying states of residual nuclei have been measured for the (α, HI) reactions (where HI = 6Li, 7Li and 7Be) using 90 MeV α-particles incident on a 12C target. Assuming that these reactions proceed through the direct pick-up of a few-nucleon cluster, the finite-range DWBA calculations have been carried out. Reasonable agreement between measured and calculated absolute cross sections was reached with the cluster spectroscopic amplitudes obtained on the basis of the shell model. (orig.)
