Description
Films of Nb--Ge alloys are obtained by the method of cathodic sputtering in a wide range of concentrations. It is shown that the following phases form in the films: bcc solid solutions based on Nb; Nb3Ge in a lattice of A15 type; tetragonal modification of Nb5Ge3; solid solution based on Ge. A correlation is established between the values of the lattice parameter and the T/sub c/ of the compound Nb3Ge. The effect of heat treatment in the temperature range 625--6750C on the critical temperature and the structure of Nb3Ge films is studied. It is shown that for film compositions close to the stoichiometric composition under certain conditions T/sub c/ can increase due to the process of atomic ordering
