Description
Investigation radio-ecology situation in Azerbaijan demonstrates that main factors of this situation are followings: Concentrations of natural radionuclides, natural factors in connection with geological peculiarity; Factor in connection with concentrations of naturally techno genesis; Factor in connection with nuclear technologies and nuclear weapons. Natural factor in connection with radioecology situation of our republic is defined with the following factors: Natural gamma background - 4-20 μR/hour; On the whole natural radio electrics are in connection n with U-238, Ra-226, Th-232, K-40 nuclear isotopes.Their concentrations are changed in extensive interval in Azerbaijan. Influence nature and man-caused factors to radioecology situation of our republic is very difficult and needs mainly investigating. Azerbaijan Republic doesn't have nuclear apparatuses, nuclear reactor, nuclear energy systems, and nuclear materials technologies. But Azerbaijan is frontier with the countries, which have nuclear technologies. The observations provided during many years shows that at the territory of Republic the general pollution of radio nuclides appropriate to nuclear technology have been occurred when execution of nuclear tests at the territory of the former USSR and when accident at the Chernobyl ATS plant. These greatest of radionuclides have been observed in earth layers of the small Caucasus, the beg Caucasus and Gafgaz and Lenkoran areas. Before the accident at the Chernobyl A- plant the greatest concentrations of strontium-90 and cesium-137 were at the interval of 1-30 Bq/kg. After the accident at the Chernobyl A- plant the showings of the concentration of radionuclides in the earth levels were increased 2-3 times. At the same time the quantity of radionuclides falling from atmosphere was changed accordingly. The last time in 1992 year radio-nuclear densities from atmosphere in Azerbaijan have been measured and was changed the following interval: Cs 137 - (0,08 - 0,11)·10-5 Bq/m3; Sr 90 - (0,0074 - 0,0090)·10-5 Bq/m3; H 3 - (1,7 - 6,1) Bq/l. Under the influence of that factor to the radionuclides in the Caspian water the changes were happened. According to information for 1992-year 127·106 m3/year quantities of pollutions were gone into Caspian. The quantities of radio-nuclear were gone into to Caspian from different rivers is shown at the article. Total quantities of radionuclides included into the pools of Caspian sea with river lines are for alpha sources 4,884, for beta sources 87,3·10-3 Ci/hour. The densities of Sr-90 isotope in shallows of Caspian for 1991-1992 years are shown at the article. Evidently the accident in nuclear reactors, wasters, nuclear apparatuses trials have an effect on water basin, air basin, and ground surface of Azerbaijan affect on the mass of radionuclides. Nuclear technology and nuclear reactors of our neighbor countries is important for safety of the Azerbaijan Republic. Following apparatuses is important in radiation safety of our Republic: Armenian Nuclear Electric Station and reactions operating there; Presently there is the WWER type power 316 MW reactor of Armenian A- plant placed at Medzamoz. The total operation period of reactor is more than 20 years and probability of accident is high; Research nuclear reactor was stopped in Georgia. It is observed total liquidation from the side of international organization; Nuclear equipment and different reactors placed in the European part of Russia; WWER-1000 nuclear reactor for energy of Iran is building in Busher; Technological equipment for nuclear material of Kazakhstan; The double purposed nuclear reactor with high-speed neutrons with vapor and pollution output, in the Aktou city in Kazakhstan. Not seeing for operational period of 10 years it is works since 07.1973 to 12.1998 and have been exploited longer than 25 years. Thus on the bordering countries of Azerbaijan as projects of former Soviet Union the reactors used for the period of 25 - 30 years. Stopping and exploiting those reactors is very hazardous. It is important to organize monitoring in water, air, ground, contact areas, with taking part in these experiments our experts with international organization for valuing of influence their pollutions to radio-ecology situation of front line countries
