Chlorine incorporation in La1.8Sr0.2CuO4-y

Description
Chlorinated samples of superconducting La1.8Sr0.2CuO4-1/2yClyO < y < 2 were prepared by solid state reaction of LaOCl, CuO and SrCo3. The authors have performed electrical resistivity measurements for different values of the Cl concentration (O < y < 0.2). The results from this paper show a linear temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity and an increase in the slope with the increase of the chlorine contents. These results point out that the role of the Cl concentration is similar from that played by the Sr contents, modifying the carrier concentration
