The influence of radiation on some parameters of silica glass
Description
The influence of reactor radiation on structure stability and optical characteristics of silica glass with the applications of spectroscopic methods was investigated. Glasses infrared reflection spectra dynamics at frequences 300-1400 cm-1 was studied. By electromechanical and optical measurements using dielectric quantum mechanical model for the first time values of molecule SiO4 microparameters - radius, polarizability - were calculated, stability of some of them and relaxation of the others during transition, employability of the given model for irradiated silica was shown.
