Description

In order to investigate the superconductivity in a layered transition-metal dichalcogenide 2H-TaS2, the temperature- and field dependence of electrical resistance and Meissner effect were measured. A superconductivity which is highly sensitive to both temperature and applied fields was observed. Also were observed both a non-linear electrical conduction and dia-magnetization at 1.4 K which is considerably higher temperature than the superconducting transition temperature reported up to now, namely, 0.8K. The physical origin of these temperature- and field dependence is discussed in term of the distribution of the superconducting transition temperature within single crystals.
