An analysis of the decision of the State Council (Conseil d'Etat) concerning regulated electricity rates

The judgment issued by the Conseil d'Etat on 11 April 2014 sheds light on the difficulties in adaptation confronting the gas and electricity sectors in the process of market liberalization imposed by European Commission. This is (already) the third time that this high authority has taken upon itself to annul, at least in part, a government decree that fixes rates for gas and electricity. (author)
