Effect of single and fractionated irradiation on the life span of the offsprings of irradiated and nonirradiated drosophila males

  • 1. Tsentral'nyj Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij Rentgeno-Radiologicheskij Inst., Leningrad (USSR)

Description

Offsprings of irradiated (F1O) and nonirradiated (F1K) Drosophila males were exposed to a single (60 kR) and fractionated (30 kR x 2) γ-irradiation. The life span of irradiated males was the criterion of radiosensitivity. The life span of nonirradiated males of the same experimental group was also registered. The offsprings of irradiated males were inferior by this criterion which may be explained by their increased physiologic age
