Dielectronic recombination through the forbidden levels
Description
Dielectronic recombination through the forbidden levels which are not usually considered is here examined. The rate of this process is of the same order of magnitude as that of photo-recombination. The process is of importance for a low density plasma with a rather low electron temperature and high degree of ionisation (for example: H II regions and planetary nebulae). Detailed calculations are made for 0 II. (author)
