Neutron-electron spectroscopy
Description
Inelastic scattering of neutrons by electrons in a solid is an established technique by which to investigate processes that occur on a scale of energy up to about 0.2 eV, and the processes include spin-wave excitations and crystal-field states. The article looks at some examples of what can be gained from investigations conducted above this energy and up to several electron volts. (author)
