Size effect on the Charpy impact testing of ferritic/martensitic steel

  • 1. China institute of atomic energy, Beijing (China)

Description

the newest generation of fast breeder reactor has made a claim for higher requirement for the structure materials. As the idea material of duct, our country has accelerated the domestic progress of F/M steel. But about the problem of irradiation embrittlement of F/M steel after irradiation, it is the key of the evaluation of domestic F/M steel. But there will not be enough space for standard specimen in the irradiation rig of fast reactor, so we have to use miniature specimen. How to process the data got from miniature specimen is a big problem for us. This paper has investigated the test technique and data processing method at home and abroad. We hope the paper can be helpful to the development of domestic F/M steel. (authors)
