Radiolysis of non-aqueous solutions of trisacetyl acetonate Fe(III)
Description
Radiolytic decomposition of trisacetyl acetonate Fe(III) has been studied in various non-aqueous solvents, viz. ethanol, 1-propanol, n-butanol and acetone. It is suggested that the electron attachment leads to reduction of the metal complex. The low yield obtained suggests that the other radiolytic species formed do not have profound influence on the decomposition of Fe(acac)3. (author)
