Description
When a static electric field is applied to a plasma, plasma ions are extracted and collected on the wall biased with a lower potential. The author derived a simplified formula to evaluate the ion-extraction time from a slab plasma created between the parallel plates. This formula is applicable over a wide density range. (author)
