Higgs boson production at large transverse momenta in the electron-positron storage rings

Description

We estimate Higgs bosons production at large transverse momenta in electron-positron storage rings via bremsstrahlung off a heavy fermion. Defining by Rsub(H)sup(2γ) (resp. Rsub(H)sup(1γ)) the ratio of the cross-section for Higgs production with Psub(T)>=2 GeV in two-photon collisions (resp. e+e- annahilation) to the e+e- annihilation into μ-pair, we find that Rsub(H)sup(2γ) rises with energy, while Rsub(H)sup(1γ) is relatively constant. At present energies Rsub(H)sup(2γ) is smaller than Rsub(H)sup(1γ) but at LEP energies (70 GeV beam energy) both have similar magnitudes (10-5)
